A rare Saturday freight train on the Cement Secondary
Title:  A rare Saturday freight train on the Cement Secondary
Description:  I was working in the back yard when I heard a train whistle for a grade crossing in what I reckoned from the direction of the sound to be Nazareth, 5 miles to the southeast of my home. Several minutes later when he blew for a second grade crossing I figured that it was probably a westbound movement. I hopped in the car with my camera and intercepted the train at the West Main Street grade crossing in Bath for an unexpected Saturday bonus.

Rounding the sharp curve west of the Rt 512 grade crossing
Title:  Rounding the sharp curve west of the Rt 512 grade crossing
Description:  Two locomotives and two boxcars heading back to Allentown Yard in a rare Saturday move on the Cement Secondary. I surmise that the normal out-and-back Cement Secondary Friday turn timed out, and so a crew was called to finish the turn on Saturday.
