MOAY hammering uphill with eastbound autorack loads
Title:  MOAY hammering uphill with eastbound autorack loads
Description:  Taken from the Hansen Road overpass. Schaghticoke Hill is where the former B&M climbed out of the Hudson River valley. I don't know this for a fact, but I surmise that this climb up from the Hudson River might be the eastbound ruling grade on Pan Am district 3.

MOAY on the reverse-S curve leading into Johnsonville
Title:  MOAY on the reverse-S curve leading into Johnsonville
Description:  The train was rolling along at 35-40 MPH at this point, and chasing it was a challenge. I ended up arriving at my intended photo location about 45 seconds before the train. I got this telephoto shot that shows the train rounding the first curve of the reverse S-curve leading into Johnsonville and illuminated with orange light from the setting sun. This ended up being my favorite photo of the day, and it was a surprise bonus. The photo I had been intending to take here is the next one in sequence...

MOAY eastbound over the Hoosic River Bridge
Title:  MOAY eastbound over the Hoosic River Bridge
Description:  The bridge is just upstream of the falls for which the town is named. This was my final photo in the chase due to rapidly diminishing daylight.
