Stone Arch Bridge, from the original track alignment of the Western Railroad  Contributor's Pick!
The original alignment of the the Boston & Albany main line up the Middlefield Gorge in Western Massachusetts employed two beautiful stone arch bridges over the River. The track was subsequently re-routed to ease the grade, which took the original bridges out of service. An interesting factoid - The chief engineer of the original Western Railroad was Whistler's father (i.e. - the father of the artist who did the famous painting "Whistler's Mother.")
